Oris Serial Number Check

Posted on

Many people mistake the longer number on the case back, which is the watch serial number, for the watch model number. The 4 digit number is very important in identifying the watch. The other model number typically starts with a “W” and is found on the paperwork only. Mar 20, 2010 - Went onto the Oris website and registered, then found the page ('My. To get worried, the site didn't recongise the watches serial number?

I'm not sure how to ascertain this for sure without a clearer picture of the caseback, but I think there's a good chance they are fake. I was about to buy an Oris Big Crown Pointer, but the following links kept me from doing so. They specifically pointed out a serial number, and also some missing features on the movement. Judging by the seller, I would say fake. Multiple accounts with the 'Please bare in mind' statement written. I would ask for box and papers. If there are no box and papers, I would check the serial number.

In all honesty, I wouldn't buy an Oris Big Crown on Ebay since strangely, some people in the world decided this was going to be the watch they made decent fakes of.? Good luck buddy! I've been scammed plenty in my younger days, and I don't wish that upon anyone. Thank you so much for this reply, I did NOT know so many watches from Oris were faked. I look at the one that needs repariring (white dial), and by the looks of the lume dots, it looks like that one is fake.

Kodi dlya universaljnogo puljta av10. On the black dial, the lume on the whole watch looks consitent, AND the lume dots looks like they have a ring around them (like the original). Though all the other watches the first seller has, and the review he has gotten looks good to me, but I don't know. It kinda makes me nervous. Thanks guys, I've studied the watches more near, and with the help from I looked at the links provided, and looked around Google, and seems like they are not real Oris watches. Looks like the bracelet has etching instead of engraving, and none of the watches states how much water resistant the can handle (30 M or 50 M). The originals has either 30 og 50 stated.

On the other hand, I cannot seem to find a original one either that has the 12, 3, 6 and 9 bigger than the other numbers. So I will pass on this one. Thank you again! Microsoft office 2016 for mac v15 40 0 vl patch mac osx softhound 1.

Recently purchased (last 2 weeks) an ORIS TITAN 300m from my local authorised dealer, lovely watch I WAS very pleased with it.until now! Went onto the Oris website and registered, then found the page ('My Watches') where if you registered your watch they would extend the guarantee by a further 12 months, damm good idea so I went for it.

That's when I started to get worried, the site didn't recongise the watches serial number??????? Have just come back from the dealers, they've had a go but had the same amount of luck as I'd had, they tried several of the watches they had in stock and the system recongised them, so at best I've a watch that can't have the extended guarantee or at worst have I got a 'dud'?? The dealer has sent a mail to ORIS asking for comments but have told me there's a big watch show at the moment so could be some time befor I get an anwser, what's my next move??:? More help please chaps.just had a reply to the mail I sent ORIS (copied to the AD) they've confirmed that they (ORIS) can't 'find' the serial number in their system either!!!!!! As far as I'm concerned I want the AD to replace the watch, have I the right to do this? What would the members of this forum do? Have any of you heard of anything like this before?

Any help, would be most welcome.:?The watch is kosher if you bought it from an AD. Wait a bit longer. If you go back and manage to change it, chances are the watch will be even newer and they won't be able to trace that one yet either. If you bought the watch from an Oris AD, and emailed Oris with the serial number, then given that their system showed it as not yet sold (which is very easy to believe) then was their reply simply 'no, we've no idea about that'? I'd be surprised if the reply was that aloof.
